Todays’ Hot Google Trend searches include the following political terms:
- “obama grandmother” – a reference to Barack Obama suspending his campaign for two days to visit his sick grandmother in Hawaii.
- “sarah palin snl rap” – no secret here – it’s folks searching for the hilarious rap by Amy Poehler on Saturday Night Live last weekend.
- “rush limbaugh colin powell” – this search is all about Rush Limbaugh’s response to the Colin Powell endorsement. To quote:
Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race. OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I’ll let you know what I come up with.
- “muslims for mccain” – I think this may refer to the video showing McCain supporters (several identifying as Muslim) arguing with an anti-Muslim faction outside of a campaign event. This has been viewed 32k times so far, but with the viral activity I’m seeing on it, I predict a lot more views in the next few days.
- clocking in at #77: Online voter registration california. It’s the last day – October 20. Make it happen!
