I really thought that searches like “obama muslim” and “obama socialist” would have suffered a sharp decline after election day. And indeed, they dropped, but only down from a strong peak on that day:

It’s hard to imagine these searches going on for long, after there’s no more fuel being added to the fire. I’ll be interested to see if they do indeed drop off the charts.
Incidentally, searches for “obama ayers” did not peak on election day as these other searches did. I guess at least one of these lines of questioning has been tapped out.
