Searchers were clearly inspired by the DNC to look for where to register to vote. This graph shows Google searches for “register to vote” that were performed by people in the state of Florida:

This trends seems roughly the same in other states: a peak early in 2008, and now a second peak in August. Looking more closely at the last 30 days, you can see that the sharp uptick in searches corresponds to the day of Barack Obama’s speech to the DNC:
