It’s no surprise that inauguration-related searches are dominating Google’s “Hot Trends” in search on this day, January 20, 2009, the day that Barack Obama took the oath of office for President of the United States of America.

Yesterday, I noticed that the search for “obama birth certificate” has been increasing lately. Today; they are through the roof. I’m seeing the following searches on Google Hot Trends:

obama born in kenya
barack obama birth certificate
obama not a citizen
obama birthplace

This is something I’ve seen here and there throughout the last several months: various searches such as “obama birth certificate” and “constitutional crisis,” all relating to the rumor (allegation?) that Barack Obama wasn’t actually born in the US and as such, is not qualified to serve as president.
